Water Feature and Entrance Design

"The Mount" Camphill School for Children with Special Needs, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, UK

This project consisted in the overall design of the entrance area of the school and has at its heart a flowform™ water feature. Flowforms are sculptural vessels which are designed to create a rythmical figure-of-eight movement of water flowing trough them. The flowform principle was discovered by the British sculptor John Wilkes and has found worldwide application in landscaping and ecological projects. For this particular commission the artist decided to create an especially large version of flowform in beaten copper. Further features of the design inlcude a pond lined by local brickwork, a curved railing and a designed pavement.
