The exhibition:

The display documents the workshop processes and the connective practices that I developed and tested as part of my research project. A total of 118 people participated in the 10 one-day workshops that have conducted in various locations in the UK, in Israel and in Germany. The exhibition includes black and white photographs, a visual display that guides visitors through the practices and the screening of a video. More material, including further videos will be made available on this page.

As part of the exhibition, the artist will conduct a number of short public workshops demonstrating some of the practices:

The public is invited to take part in one of the workshop events (please check for last-minute changes as a result of weather conditions - on this webpage or by phone: 0049-176-77197468). Please notice the changed time of the afternoon events! All events will start on time!

 

 

Saturday, 17.2.:

10 am - 'Turning Outside-In'

an experiential outdoor practice exploring and transforming our relationship to a tree, followed by an indoor reflection.

Approximate duration: 90 minutes (of which 50 min outdoors, please bring warm clothing).

Meeting place: at the entrance to the churchyard of the Church of S.John the Evangelist, 109a Iffley Road, Oxford.

 

2:30 pm - 'Experiential Forest Walk'

an experiential walk including a number of stations and practices, exploring hidden aspects of natural landscape and our responses to it, followed by an indoor reflection. Approximate duration: 100 minutes (of which 60 min outdoors, please bring warm clothing and outdoor shoes). Meeting place: the entrance gate to the 'Aston's Eyot' nature reserve, at bottom of Jackdaw Lane (just beyond the scrapyard), off Iffley Road, Oxford.

 

 

Sunday, 18.2. :

 

11:00 am - 'Touching Beginnings and Ends'

this indoor practice will explore different modes of relationship through surprising sensuous encounters with nature and a following reflection.

Approximate duration: 45 min.

Meeting place: the exhbibition space at Fusion Arts, East Oxford Community Center, Princes St., Oxford.

 

2:30 pm - 'Life Discovery Walk' - cancelled because of expected rainy conditions

this experiential walk will follow a number of stations and encounters with the hidden life of nature in winter including our responses, followed by an indoor reflection. Approximate duration: 90 min (of which 60 min outdoors, please bring warm clothing!).

Meeting place: south entrance, Richard Hamilton Building, Brookes University Headington Campus, off Headington Rd., Oxford.
